Boulder Municipal Airport, Colorado

Parking Apron Reconstruction

Construction engineers who guided the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) sponsored western ramp reconstruction project over the course of 3 months.

The project reconstructed a 17,300 SY area of pavement with a fly-ash treated subgrade, aggregate base course, and a CDOT specified PG asphalt.

Major work items included tie-down removal, extensive earthwork undercut and embankment with clean fill, underdrain installation, 12-inches of fly-ash treated subgrade, 8-inches of class 6 base course, and placement of just over 4,000 tons of a PG-64-22 Asphalt surface course.

Work was conducted in phases to ensure that operation constraints were minimized.

Our full-time guidance on the project resulted in substantial completion on time and precisely at contract budget.
